His Story
My name is Wanderson. I am 10 years old and go to school in Cantagalo. I live with my mum and 3 siblings. My house used to be full with lots of rubbish and mess, and we had lots of animals running around, like dogs, cats, rats and cockroaches.
I have been at class with EduMais for 2 years, and a month ago, they helped to clean our house and I started having talks with a special EduMais teacher, and this really helped changed my circumstances at school and at home. They all have really helped me with my confidence. Sometimes I say bad and silly things about myself but the talks I have with the teachers make me feel free and connected with them, and they tell me I am worth it and important.
When I grow up, I’d like to become a vet to look after all the animals I see in Rio.
